PRUPIM’s ‘Sustainable development - a framework for decision making’, has been developed to help actively encourage and promote sustainable practices, with the aim of sharing our many years of experience in this area with the property industry as a whole.

The framework focuses on the needs of the practitioners that use it. Working with consultants WSP, we have developed a series of themed technical sheets that introduce key topics and guide the reader on specific points they need to consider. The aim is to promote a thorough and informed debate within the design and construction team in order to arrive at the optimum set of responses to the particular needs of each project. This enhances PRUPIM's ability to clearly communicate our principles and the approaches we take in practice to all our stakeholders.

The framework is a ‘living’ document and will be regularly updated and extended.
