PRUPIM’s ‘Sustainable refurbishment - a framework for decision making’,
has been developed to help actively encourage sustainable practices,
with the aim of sharing our many years of experience in this area with the property industry as a whole.

All refurbishment projects will present a unique combination of aspirations and constraints which will, inevitably, result in unique design and construction responses. However the aim of this framework is to promote a thorough and informed debate within the design and construction team in order to arrive at the optimum set of responses to the particular needs of each project.

This Framework will be regularly updated to ensure they continue to reflect prevailing best practice and responds to innovation, changing user and investor expectations and the developing legislative context.
