The centre:mk is a regional shopping centre with over 230 stores, cafes and restaurants all under one roof. The centre comprises 1.79 m sq ft of retail and leisure space. The shopping building started on site in 1973 and was opened by Margaret Thatcher in 1979.

PRUPIM provide full Development and Project Management Services for the Joint Owners for long term retail and mixed use Masterplanning and short and mid term modernising enhancements to sustain the attractiveness and value of the existing building.

PRUPIM have separately constructed a business plan for and are managing the installation of a state of the art Technology Initiative, providing an information super highway, mall information facilities and commercialisation opportunities. This combines the in-house skills of both the Project Management and Information Technology arms of PRUPIM.

PRUPIM manage all aspects of external planning policy relating to the centre:mk including running a highly specialised team to resist the listing of the building as Grade2. *

This has required the setting up of a fully integrated stakeholder and public relations/media management team across all aspects of their work at thecentre:mk.
